Veronica Lake, here the forties film star with the trademark ‘peekaboo’ hairstyle, photographed by Eugene Robert Richee, 1941.
Truly one of the most beautiful and astoundingly sexually charged actresses of 1940s Hollywood. I only discovered her when seeing “I Married a Witch” and “Sullivan’s Travels” on accident; until then, she was only a one-line gag in old Warner Brothers cartoons for me.
It’s a pity she mostly forgotten today. Many actresses could learn a lot from her now.
